In 2005, the Company submitted the annual certification of its chief executive officer regarding the
Company’s compliance with the NYSE’s corporate governance listing standards, pursuant to
Section 303A.12(a) of the NYSE Listed Company Manual. The Company delivered supplemental written
affirmations to the NYSE in February, March and April of 2005 and February 2006 following a change in
the memberships of the Company’s Audit Committee and upon the retirement of a member of our board
of directors.
