> Launched dual-cell technology on our
national 4G wireless HSPA+ network in
select cities across Canada, increasing
average expected network speeds
> First in Canada to introduce Facebook
on TV, giving TELUS Optik customers
access to Facebook features while
watching their favourite TV shows

Established our 10th TELUS Community
Board in Quebec City, bringing together
local leaders and TELUS employees
to make funding decisions that support
local grassroots organizations
> Named one of Canada’s Best Diversity

SECOND QUARTER
> Announced plans for two dividend
increases per year of circa 10 per cent
annually to 2013, consistent with TELUS’
forward-looking dividend growth model
> Ratified a new five-year collective
agreement with 11,250 TELUS team
members in Canada
> Completed the refinancing of $1.1 billion
of 8.5% debt with the issuance of
$600 million five-year 3.65% Notes
and $500 million of low-cost
commercial paper
> Continued to advance our Clear &
Simple customer strategy with a new
and improved device ownership
program, simplified international travel
pricing and a significant reduction in
international wireless roaming rates
> Secured a five-year contract extension
with the Government of Ontario to
manage its province-wide portfolio
of telecom munications services

Held sixth annual TELUS Day of
GivingTM with a record 11,400 TELUS
team members, retirees, family and
friends volunteering to serve local
communities and help those in need
THIRD QUARTER
> Completed a 10-year, $100-million-a-
year telecommunications agreement
with the Government of British
Columbia
> Achieved an overall employee
engagement score of 70 per cent, up
from 57 per cent the previous year,
elevating TELUS into the highest level
of engagement and best employer
zone for a company of our size and
diverse makeup
> Listed in the North American Dow
Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for
the seventh consecutive year
> Began construction of a $65 million
intelligent Internet data centre in
Rimouski, Quebec, the first to be built
to LEED (leadership in energy and
environmental design) gold standards,
which will significantly enhance our
capacity to provide managed data
services to business clients

Established our 11th TELUS Community
Board in the Thompson Okanagan
region of B.C. to provide grants to local
charitable and non-profit organizations
FOURTH QUARTER
> Successfully entered into a new
five-year $2 billion bank credit facility
with a syndicate of 15 financial
institutions
> Introduced the integrated TELUS
Business FreedomTM bundle, which
enables small and medium business
customers to combine their office
phone lines, Internet and wireless
services into one flexible, simple and
cost-effective solution
> Named one of Canada’s Top Employers
for Young People by Mediacorp Canada

Established three international TELUS
Community Boards in the Philippines,
El Salvador and Guatemala, where
TELUS International has contact
centre operations
EARLY 2012
> Launched next generation 4G wireless
long-term evolution (LTE) services
in 14 major urban markets, including
Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto,
Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.
The LTE network supports average
expected speeds up to three times
faster than HSPA+ technology
