regulatoryliabilitiesof $45 million relatedto ComEd’s and BGE’s portion ofdeferredcostsassociatedwithExelon’s pension plans
andComEd’s, PECO’s and BGE’s portion ofdeferredcostsassociatedwithExelon’s other postretirement benefit plans. PECO’s
pension regulatoryrecoveryisbasedon cash contributionsandisnot includedintheregulatoryasset (liability) balances. The
regulatoryasset (liability) is amortizedin proportion to therecognition ofprior servicecosts(gains), transition obligationsand
actuarial losses(gains) attributable to Exelon’s pension andother postretirement benefit plansdeterminedbythecostrecognition
provisionsofthe authoritativeguidancefor pensionsandpostretirement benefits. ComEd, PECO and BGE will recover thesecosts
through base ratesasallowedintheirmostrecentlyapprovedregulatedrate orders. The pension andother postretirement benefit
regulatoryasset balanceincludesaregulatoryasset establishedat thedate ofthemerger relatedto BGE’s portion ofthedeferred
costsassociatedwithlegacy Constellation’s pension andother postretirement benefit plans. TheBGE-relatedregulatoryasset is
beingamortizedover a periodofapproximately12 years, which generallyrepresentstheexpectedaverageremainingservice period
ofplan participantsat thedate ofthemerger.See Note 16—Retirement Benefitsfor additional detail.No return is earnedon
Exelon’s regulatoryasset.
