ASUS will select international volunteer workers each year and
assign them to provide service in the remote areas of foreign countries, and will
care for domestic disadvantaged groups. In addition to encouraging
employees to participate in various volunteer workers’ services or public
welfare event, the Company will provide each employee with the volunteer
worker’s leave for one day per year and reimbursement for the expenditure of
event.
The service events in 2015 included Taiwan Fund for Children and
Families digital learning camp, quality inspection and packaging of food from
Andrew Food Bank, Chuwei Sunshine – after-school tutoring and escort,
children’s secret base – digital learning camp, Zenan Homeless Social Welfare
Foundation, Taiwan Fund for Children and Families winter greeting and
Kuandu Arts Festival Bazaar. ASUS volunteer workers devote themselves to
each event in order to demonstrate the Company’s devotion to the social public
welfare event and upgrade employees’ own value and achievement.
(5) National 99-second vide contest
Since 2009, ASUS has worked with Taiwan Public Television
Service Online to organize the “National 99-second Video Selection Event” for
six years until now. The selection, organization of mobile phone creation
camp and awarding ceremony for Heart Happiness Event of 6th term was
completed in the first half of 2015, and the Event of 7th term was to be held in
the second half of 2015. The theme of the video will be set depending on
current events each year, as the Company hopes to spread positive and good
faith strength through the video.
a. Touching 99 Video Selection “Heart Happiness Event” of 6th term
Social cases have been frequently reported recently, catching the
public eyes increasingly. The distance between people is getting farther.
Notwithstanding, there are still a lot of people doing good work throughout
Taiwan, who keep adhering to their own belief and try their best to provide
others with related assistance although they might have only small force.
An expression to extend care for others may enable the receiver to feel so
heartwarming and make the giver feel happy. The “Heart Happiness Event”
hopes to gather minor contribution and care and to transform the same into
positive strength for the society, to make everyone feel happy. The
selection stage started on October 15, 2014 and ended on February 25, 2015.
A total of 400 pieces of work are collected. The video contribution
solicitation has been implemented for years. Teachers from the relevant
departments/divisions of schools will include such solicitation into the
program design to upgrade young students’ motive for learning. Through
the video documentation, participants may transform the memory and
experience of life into many touching stories. The wining works will be
