resources from Taiwan to different remote areas or disadvantaged groups all
over the world.
Since 2009, ASUS has continued investing resources based on the
management philosophy about sustainability. The Company donated
computers to such disadvantaged groups as non-profit-making organizations in
various villages and townships throughout Taiwan and helped 23 countries.
By donating hardware devices and providing the global digital volunteer
workers’ service to promote digital learning, the Company helped the children
in remote areas, poor young students, women and seniors upgrade their digital
ability, learn exchange of experience and provide the chances for practicing.
For 7 years, the Company has donated 2,100 sets of brand new notebooks and
about 10,000 sets of refurbished computers, established more than 100
computer rooms, and trained information and communication talents for more
than 100,000 persons.

(3) ASUS world citizens/international volunteer worker project
ASUS worked with 10 international volunteer workers teams in 2015.
A total of 111 international volunteer workers selected from students, from
colleges and universities, teachers and ASUS employees were assigned to
provide such teaching services as short-term information and communication
education, Chinese language, ecology and wildlife conservation and technical
education in the remote areas of 7 countries including Indonesia, India,
Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Tanzania. ASUS granted
employees official leave to encourage them to participate in the event, to
stimulate ASUS folks’ potential and fulfill the corporate social responsibility.
Through the presentation, Facebook, and videos, photos and text posted on the
volunteer workers’ website, the volunteer workers may share the process of
service, learning and interesting story with the world. In 2015, a total of
3,770 persons were provided with the service and shared love and stories
through Facebook. As a result, a total of 206,440 persons accessed such
information.
