Volvo Construction Equipment develops, manufactures and
markets equipment for construction and related industries
under the brands Volvo and SDLG. Its products are leaders
in many world markets, and include a comprehensive range
of wheel loaders, hydraulic wheeled and crawler excavators,
articulated haulers, road machinery and a wide range of compact
equipment.
Aerospace industry
Volvo Aero develops and manufactures advanced compon-
ents for aircraft engines and space rockets with light weight
in focus. More than 90% of all new large commercial aircraft
are equipped with engine components from Volvo Aero.
The company is also responsible for the engines of the
Swedish Air Force’s Gripen fighters. Volvo Aero also has an
aftermarket business that comprises repair and maintenance
of select aircraft engines as well as stationary gas turbines.
