135 years. A quarterly dividend of $0.26 per share was declared
on Feb. 7, 2007, payable March 30, 2007, to shareholders of
record as of March 9, 2007.

Annual Shareholders’ Meeting
The annual shareholders’ meeting will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2007,
at the corporate headquarters office at 385 Washington Street,
Saint Paul, Minn. Proxy materials, which include a proxy state-
ment, proxy card or voter instruction form, and an annual report,
will be mailed beginning on or about March 23, 2007, to each
shareholder of record as of March 5, 2007.

Our common stock is traded on The New York Stock Exchange
under the symbol “TRV”.1As of Feb. 15, 2007, Travelers had
approximately 89,234 shareholders of record of its common stock.
This figure does not represent the actual number of beneficial
owners of common stock because shares are frequently held
in “street name” by securities brokers and others for the benefit
of individual owners who may vote or dispose of the shares.

CEO and CFO Certification
Travelers has filed with the SEC as Exhibits 31.1 and 31.2 to
its 2006 Annual Report on Form 10-K the certifications of the
company’s Chief Executive Officer and its Chief Financial Officer
required under Section 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
and SEC Rules 13a-14(a) and 15d-14(a) regarding Travelers
financial statements, disclosure controls and procedures and
other matters. In addition, following its 2006 annual meeting of
shareholders, Travelers submitted to the NYSE the annual certifi-
cation of the company’s Chief Executive Officer, as required under
Section 303A.12(a) of the NYSE Listed Company Manual, which
certified that the company’s Chief Executive Officer was not aware
of any violation by Travelers of the NYSE’s corporate governance
listing standards.
