How does Experian address its
social responsibilities?
We do this largely by building
social, ethical and environmental
considerations into our everyday
business decisions. We’re trying to
ensure that corporate responsibility,
or CR, becomes simply business-
as-usual for Experian. In the
past few years we’ve established
a comprehensive CR strategy
and governance structure, and
have identied six key areas of
responsibility.
Experian has never been short of
opportunities and, in many ways,
the hard bit is ensuring we
concentrate our efforts and
resources on the best of these.
We have dedicated part of our
corporate website to CR and publish
our CR performance alongside our
nancials. Recent employee surveys
have revealed the importance that
our people attach to Experians role
of corporate citizen and it’s one of the
reasons why I take a personal lead on
CR communications.
What is it about Experian that
makes you most proud?
I take most pride from the contribution
that Experian makes to the markets
we serve. In many ways, we provide
the lubricant for economic growth -
helping organisations to reach and
understand their customers, and
enabling consumers and businesses
to have access to the credit they need.
The value we deliver to clients and
consumers is a very motivating force
for all of us at Experian.
