2014.
(4) On-job training
Directors have on-the-job training arranged in accordance with the mission
assigned and personal development. Training includes coaching, managing interns,
job development and enrichment to upgrade employee competence. The idea is to
encourage employees to learn from daily operation systematically and apply the
learned skills to work. Directors have 606 on-job training programs planned and
arranged in 2014, representing 8.80% of the learning and growth plan.
(5) External training
In addition to the internal training courses planned in accordance with the demands
of the staff as a whole, employees are assigned to be trained externally in response
to the demand of each individual in order to upgrade professional ability needed for
performing tasks. ASUS grants employees financial support for external training
courses related to their job performance. ASUS had 277 external training courses
arranged in 2014 with NT$1,336,663 granted as follows:

(III) Code of employee’s conduct and ethics
The “sincerity, thrift, profundity, and practicality” is one of the company’s operating
concepts. For the common understanding of ASUS fellows, the company has the Chinese
traditions “modesty, sincerity, theft, swiftness, courage” made to be the code of
employee’s conduct socially and personally.
The importance of industry’s moral and social responsibility cannot be stressed enough
internationally; therefore, industry with the continuous trust and respect of consumers,
business partners, and the public will be able to operate permanently. The “Employee
Integral Conduct Practice” has been developed to help employees follow the Company’s
integral standards and assist the stakeholders of the company to understand the ethics
standards executed by the company staff. There is additional email, [email protected]
used as channel for employee complaints. The HR Office and Legal Affairs Center shall
also re-write the employee integral conducts into 9 cases (Chinese and English version)
for announcement on the internal network, in addition to sending to all employees.
Moreover, the digital teaching material on “Employee Ethical Conduct Principles” was
prepared in the same year and is compulsory materials for all employees to study. All
employees were trained in 2012 while new employees report to work in 1 month shall
complete the digital compulsory course, in order to strengthen the work ethics and
professional competency in the company and all employees. It is expected that all
employees will exhibit integral conducts so that ASUS will become a respected
benchmark enterprise.
