December 2008 ASUS Eee PC is named the product of the year by Forbes and Stuff Magazine in
the U.K. The Japanese lifestyle and fashion magazine Dime honored Eee PC with
top product. Amazon (U.S.A.) identifies Eee PC as the most popular Christmas
gift, and it is recommended by 13 different media outlets as the best gift to give.
All noted how consumers loved the high mobility of the Eee PC. Spanning Japan,
Taiwan, Europe and the U.S., there is no place in the world that has not felt the
effect of the Eee PC.

April 2009 ASUS launches energy-saving motherboards, P5Q PRO Turbo and P5Q Turbo, on
Earth Day. P5Q PRO Turbo and P5Q Turbo are designed with unique Xtreme
Phase power design and ASUS 2nd generation EPU smart energy-saving chips to
reduce power consumption. The self-monitoring systems automatically adjust
power demands, reduce temperature, and increase power efficiency by up to 96%.
April 2009 ASUS is recognized internationally with the gold standard for green products by
CNN and TIME Magazine. Eee PC 1000HE receives high praise from CNN
during an episode of Your Green World. ASUS Bamboo U6V is named in the
Green Design 100 by TIME Magazine for its artistic, environmentally friendly
design.
May 2009 ASUS introduces its thinnest mini notebook, Eee PC 1008HA Seashell, weighing
only 1.1kg and with a body only 18mm thin; also featuring a 92% Baby Touch
