for people with intellectual disabilities to develop skills. The Company also
employs five masseurs who are visually impaired to be full-time employees at
the corporate headquarters and at the Chengde office, which provides
employees with stress-relief therapy services.
(9) Caring for indigenous farms with natural cultivation programs
The Company undertook the purchase of Team Mountain Grains Production and
Marketing Section after the 1988 flood that the Zhou tribe experienced in the
Alishan Township of Chiayi County. The Company sponsored small farmers and
purchased 419 packages of organic food. The purchase amount was 200,000.
The goods supported small farmers while providing food to 419 remote
aboriginal families through two charities which support small farmers with
eco-friendly environmental rehabilitation schemes while helping disadvantaged
families in rural areas.
