Awards
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. won a total of 4,326 international awards in 2014, consistently delivering
record-high numbers of winning entries, and receiving recognition for innovation, brand image, customer
satisfaction, customer experience, social responsibility, environmental protection and sustainable
practices.
For the first time, ASUSTeK was named among the World's Most Admired Companies in 2014 by
Fortune magazine, ranking sixth in the computer industry. Further, ASUS brand spirit was recognized by
international media groups, with outstanding ratings in the categories of Innovation and Management
Ability.
In a survey of top Taiwan global brands, hosted by the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs, ASUS
retained its top three position for the twelfth consecutive year: It ranked first place in 2013 and in 2014,
with a brand value of up to US$1.723 billion in 2014.
ASUS achieved the highest cumulative score in the Home Electronics and Communications Services
sector in Taiwan’s CommonWealth Magazine 2014 Most Admired Company survey. The Company also
won first place in the Laptop Brand category in Taiwan’s Business Today Magazine 2014 Best Brand
Awards.
Product Innovation
ASUS has been the most recognized Company at the Taiwan Excellence Awards for twelve consecutive
years, receiving a total of 50 awards in 2014. Three ASUS products won the highest honor at the Best
Choice Golden Awards, and 17 products received Computex d&i Awards at Computex 2014. ASUS
innovation and design capabilities were also recognized by 17 awards at the internationally-renowned
Good Design Awards 2014, in Japan. Additionally, the Company received the ICT Month Innovative
Elite 2014 Golden Award, and 11 products were also nominated for the Best Industrial Design Award at
Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Awards.
Over the past year, ASUS has led the market with innovation in the following four sectors: Computers,
Mobile Computing Devices, Components, Internet of Things & Cloud Computing Technologies. The
ASUS ZenFone series, launched in April 2014, won the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for Product
Design and also set new sales records as the ZenFone 5 became Taiwan's best-selling smartphone. Along
with the release of the ASUS Transformer Book Chi, ZenFone 2 and ZenFone Zoom further showcased
innovative ASUS design at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). ASUS also
introduced the fastest and most comprehensive SuperSpeed + USB 3.1 motherboards and expansion cards,
and the ASUS ESC4000 G2S servers topped the Green500 list as the world’s most energy-efficient
supercomputers. Additionally, ASUS worked with the Hotai Motor Company to develop the new Toyota
Intelligent System, which seamlessly integrates tablets with vehicles.
Management Focus
In 2014, ASUS continued to lead the market through innovation and quality, with guidance from its
world-class management team. In a climate of converging competition in the PC, tablet and mobile phone
markets, ASUS will continue to achieve differentiation through increased product value, increased scale
of operations, and through effective marketing and communication. With the goal of establishing strong
brand recognition in the 3-in-1 market, ASUS marketing teams will initiate agile multimedia campaigns
to engage consumers through multiple channels of communication.
In addition to robust product development in 2014, an emphasis on product quality and marketing will
help drive long-term investment and future growth. The management team will focus on expanding brand
advantages and scaling the production of motherboards, notebooks and desktop computers. Through
exceptional product portfolios and brand positioning, ASUS will continue to be a leader in the tablet PC
