There’s a reason why IHOP has been number one in
family dining for three years running, and it is more than
just the pancakes. It lies in our ability to anticipate what
our guests want, need — and crave. We have continued to
enhance our signature breakfast offerings and showcase
guest favorites with items such as New York Cheesecake
pancakes and International House Roast avored coffees.
We are also thinking beyond breakfast with delectable
dinner items like our Bacon, Egg and Cheeseburger,
Balsamic-Glazed Chicken, Thick-cut Bone-in Ham
Dinner, and refreshing new beverages.
We are turning up the avor at Applebee’s too, with a
host of entrées, appetizers and more that will create new,
craveable neighborhood favorites. In 2009, our Realburgers,
sliders, premium sandwiches and Queso Blanco appetizer
were just some of the new items that added a distinctive
dimension to our menu. At the heart of it, we are reminding
guests that Applebee’s is the choice in grill & bar for fantastic
food, quality and value. We will keep the momentum
rolling in 2010 with the introduction of more dishes
that are destined to keep the neighborhood coming back
for more.
We dare to think beyond four walls.
When it comes to new ideas, we think outside of the
restaurant too. We are testing concepts for IHOP that
answer the question: why make guests come to us when we
can go to them? We are experimenting with our menu and
service model to give guests more choices on the go. We
also are looking at licensing opportunities that may bring
your favorite IHOP avors to a grocery store near you.
We create synergy to benet our
franchisees.
In February 2009, one of our biggest opportunities to
create synergies between Applebee’s and IHOP went from
an idea to a reality with the formation of a purchasing
co-operative, Centralized Supply Chain Services (CSCS).
When it comes to harnessing the power of our vast
