SALES PERFORMANCE
In 2004, Western European demand for commercial vehicles
(GVW > 2.8 tons) increased to about 1,064,100 units, or 11.8%
more than in 2003 (about 951,400 units). The largest increases
occurred in Great Britain (+14.6%), Spain (+14.3%), France
(+10.7%) and Germany (+9.6%). Shipments were also up in Italy,
where they rose by 6% compared with 2003.
