Successfully transitioning to BlackBerry 10, the Company’s next generation BlackBerry platform. The Company is
focused on launching its BlackBerry 10 smartphones. RIM expects the next generation BlackBerry 10 OS will power future
BlackBerry smartphones, tablets and embedded solutions such as those found in advanced automotive electronics, including
entertainment, communications and navigation applications. RIM believes BlackBerry 10 will combine the best aspects of the
BlackBerry and QNX Neutrino platforms to provide exceptional performance, high scalability and support for industry standard
tools that are already familiar to hundreds of thousands of developers. BlackBerry 10 will also integrate features and
functionalities that stem from the Company’s other recent acquisitions such as, The Astonishing Tribe, NewBay, Torch Mobile
and Tungle. RIM believes the BlackBerry 10 mobile platform is optimized to connect people, devices, content and services.
