STOCKHOLDER INFORMATION
AMERCO, a Nevada corporation, was incorporated in April 1969 and is the holding
company of the subsidiaries comprising the U-Haul System and other subsidiaries
(collectively, the “Company”). The Company had its origin in 1945 under the name
“U-Haul Trailer Rental Company.” The Company is primarily engaged in the short-
term rental of trucks, trailers and related equipment to the do-it-yourself mover. The
Company also sells related moving products and services, and rents self-storage
facilities and general rental items. In addition, the Company’s insurance subsidiaries
engage in the life and property/casualty insurance and reinsurance business.
