®
GameStop associates helped grant
nearly 250 wishes in 2013. The
holiday season was filled with kids
wishing for the newly launched video
game consoles and GameStop was
able to deliver – we even made it
possible for one wish kid to get their
PlayStation 4 first on launch night.
2013 ANNUAL REPORT POWER TO THE PLAYERS
GAMESTOP: GIVING POWER We continued to expand our corporate giving and volunteering
programs. With the mission of supporting youth well-being and giving back to the
communities in which we operate, we increased our Giving Power outreach by offering
simple ways for our associates to get involved. | As we look to 2014, our goal is
to increase our employee engagement through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities by 10%.
12
The Gamer Fund, a 501(c)(3)
organization, was established in
2012 to provide financial grants
to assist GameStop associates
and meet their basic, short-term
needs in the event of an unforeseen
emergency or hardship. These
events can include the loss of a
home due to fire, a death of a
loved one or a natural disaster.
GameStop continued its valued partnership with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). We are committed
to upholding the Respect the Ratings campaign to ensure we sell age-appropriate games to our customers.
As a first year participant in the Thanks and Giving®
Campaign, GameStop associates helped raise
$1,000,000 in consumer donations
for the children of St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital.
GameStop partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities by cooking meals
for families staying at local Ronald McDonald Houses, while their
children undergo medical treatments. In 2013, GameStop
associates volunteered at 21 different Ronald
McDonald House locations across the U.S.
