CARING ABOUT SUSTAINABLE ORIGIN
Coffee and tea consumers take a
particularly strong interest in the origin
and sourcing of their coffee products.
Every bean we procure carries its own
unique back-story and every cup we
produce follows our commitment to fair
trade and sustainable sourcing. We are
strongly committed to being a socially
responsible corporate citizen and having
a positive and sustainable impact on
our environment and community. Our
environmental programs are designed
to optimize the use of all resources
while creating, packaging and distrib-
uting our products in a manner that
lessens their impact on the eco-system.
We are the world’s largest purchaser
of UTZ CERTIFIED coffee and the first
company to source UTZ CERTIFIED tea.
UTZ is a certification program which
shares our commitment to making the
coffee and tea markets more sustain-
able. This program has a significant
beneficial impact on helping farmers
improve living conditions. We continue
to invest in supporting coffee and tea
farmers with training to fulfill the neces-
sary requirements for certification. Our
farming partners are checked regularly
to ensure that they are growing coffee
and tea in a sustainable manner. Our
long-term vision is to source all of our
coffee and tea sustainably, and every
year we move closer to that goal.
