As described in “Management’s Annual Report on Internal Control Over Financial Reporting” appearing
under Item 15(b), management has excluded the activities of Symbian Limited from its assessment of
internal control over financial reporting as of December 31, 2008 because it was acquired by the
Company in a purchase business combination during 2008. Therefore, we have also excluded Symbian
from our audit of internal control over financial reporting. Symbian Limited is a wholly owned
subsidiary whose total assets and total revenues represent 2% and less than 1%, respectively, of the
related consolidated financial statement amounts as of and for the year ended December 31, 2008.
