Revitalizing the Store Experience
Started seven years ago, our initiative to transform our existing stores is
nearly complete, as 85% of our locations are now Lifestyle stores. Each
Lifestyle remodel shares common elements, but is also unique and
customized to reflect the individual needs and personality of each
community. We have found that our remodeled stores not only positively
affect the comfort level of our shoppers, but also boost employee morale
and productivity.
This updated grocery store setting features custom wood-like flooring,
relaxing earth-toned décor and subdued lighting with spotlights on
featured products. Lifestyle stores also bring convenience to the shopping
experience, with many of our locations sporting expanded deli, floral and
bakery departments, sushi bars and Starbucks kiosks with seating areas
and some with free Wi-Fi.
