Delivery of two B777-200ER aircraft,
the ninth and tenth of this aircraft
type to join SIAs fleet.

The SIA Group announces a profit
attributable to shareholders of
$774 million for the half year ending
30 September 2002, an increase of
474 per cent over the same period
in 2001. The SIA Board declared an
interim dividend of 6 cents per share,
3 cents higher than a year earlier.
Delivery of eighth B777-300 and
eleventh B777-200ER aircraft.
SilkAir launches new service to
Hyderabad in India.
November
KrisFlyer announces new partners
– Emirates, Starwood Hotels and
Resorts, Taj Hotels Resorts and
Palaces and the Saville Hotel Group.
Delivery of twelfth B777-200ER
aircraft.
December
Singapore Flying College’s
new branch at Maroochydore,
Queensland, which became
operational in November 2002,
is officially opened.
February
Delivery of B747-400F freighter, the
twelfth in SIA Cargo’s fleet.
March
SIA Board of Directors appoints
Mr Chew Choon Seng,
Senior Executive Vice-President
(Administration) as a Director with
immediate effect. Mr Chew had
been named as CEO-Designate in
January 2003.
SIA announces plans to suspend
65 services a week in response to
softening demand, caused primarily
by the war in Iraq.
SilkAir suspends services to Makassar
in Indonesia indefinitely.
Delivery of SIAs thirteenth and
fourteenth B777-200ER aircraft.
