(2) Financial assets (liabilities) at fair value through profit or loss
The financial instruments held by the Company are as follows:
A. For the years ended December 31, 2011 and 2010, the Company recognized net financial
assets gain on valuation of $163,466 and $466,044, respectively, and net financial liabilities
loss on valuation of $522,198 and $44,971, respectively.
B. The trading items and contract information of derivatives are as follows:
The main purpose of the Company’s trading derivatives was to hedge foreign currency risk
from operating activities. As of December 31, 2011 and 2010, the Company did not meet the
criteria for hedge accounting, so the Company recognized them at fair value.
C. For convertible bonds information, please refer to Note 4(11), “Bonds payable.”
