2012 ANNUAL REPORT POWER TO THE PLAYERS
44 GRANTS AWARDED
The Gamer Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2012 to provide temporary relief
to GameStop associates facing hardship from tragic and isolated events. Endowed with seed donations
from GameStop’s founders and senior management team, the Gamer Fund is fully run and funded by
GameStop associates. This employee-sponsored charitable organization provides financial grants
to assist GameStop associates and meet their basic, short-term needs in the event of an unforeseen
emergency or hardship. These events can include the loss of a home due to fire, the death of
a loved one or a natural disaster.

ENTERTAINMENTSOFTWARERATINGBOARD
GameStop continued its valued partnership with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), upholding
the Respect the Ratings campaign that educates consumers on video game ratings. We are committed to
ensuring we sell age-appropriate games to our customers, and our employees enforce our zero tolerance
policy against selling M-rated games to customers under 17.
GameStop is constantly exploring national and local associate
volunteer opportunities to support our charities of choice. As we look
to 2013, our goal is to increase our employee participation through
Make-A-Wish® and Ronald McDonald House Charities by 10%.
To bring the excitement of video gaming
to RMHC, GameStop donated a Wii U
system and collection of games to every
House in the U.S.
