Process Improvements
l Hertz’s ambitious efficiency program is employee-driven, catalyzed by
our version of Lean/Six Sigma, called the Hertz Improvement Process
(HIP), which we have cascaded throughout our global field organiza-
tion and functional areas. We have trained more than 13,000 employ-
ees in the basics of HIP at 634 locations worldwide. We emphasize
“Best-in-Class” process improvements which can be replicated glob-
ally, and have generated over $80 million of savings worldwide.
