Our car sharing product deploys efficiency-enhancing tech-
nology while improving service. Other innovations that drive
service, efficiency and growth include:
l Self-service kiosks at 33 U.S. airports and several key
European airports. Over 200,000 rental transactions were
completed at the kiosks, speeding the rental process and
reducing waits, while cutting labor costs by several million
dollars.
l Another NeverLost IV navigation system upgrade, includ-
ing online trip planning was used more than 30,000 times
last year. NeverLost 5 has been deployed with 3G and Wi-Fi
technology, and weather and airline departure information.
Over 70,000 Hertz vehicles worldwide come equipped with
NeverLost.
l A “Best-in-Class” online reservation system with over 400
enhancements including “click-to-chat” capability, a dual
rate display for our new pre-paid rental discount program,
and a mobile device website which has generated over $1
million of revenue last year.
l On-line check-in providing a “Gold Experience” for non- #1
Club Gold Customers, with cell phone and mobile device
check-in capability. We are currently processing over 1,000
on-line check-ins per day.
l A 10-Minute Service Guarantee. Self-service kiosks and
on-line check-in capability enabled Hertz to promise every
eligible customer that they would be in their car in under
10 minutes, or receive a $50 voucher for a future rental. We
processed more than 99% of all eligible rentals within 10
minutes.
