“The Urus is an extreme interpretation of the SUV idea,”

Despite having a .-liter twin-turbo engine with an output of
more than kW ( hp), one development aim is to achieve
low CO fi gures using lightweight technology and the option of
using hybrid technology. Driving pleasure is also a top priority
for the Urus. “When we move into the SUV segment, we will be
redefi ning it from scratch,” says Reggiani.
Lamborghini aims to conquer the steadily growing market of
the luxury SUV with the new series-production model based on
the Urus. A Lamborghini as the main car. A supercar that cus-
tomers can enjoy with their friends and family.
Lamborghini will begin building the SUV for daily use in
Sant’Agata Bolognese in , creating a total of new
jobs in the process. The plant will virtually double in size to
accommodate the third model line alongside the Aventador and
Huracán.
And the sales fi gures should also double with the
SUV model – from the previous , to , cars a year.
“A new era is dawning for us with the Urus,” says Research
and Development Director Maurizio Reggiani. “It shows just
how close vision and future are at Lamborghini.”
