(d) As at the balance sheet date, Haier Corp
provided corporate guarantees up to
RMB201,000,000 (2006: RMB156,800,000)
(equivalent to HK$214,973,000 (2006:
HK$153,726,000)) to Haier Group Finance Co.,
Ltd. (“Haier Finance”), a subsidiary of Haier
Corp and a financial institution approved by
the People’s Bank of China, for loan facilities
granted to certain subsidiaries of the Group.
