These future obligations are matched, or ex-
ceeded, by income on sub-leases.
Purchase commitments for property, plant and
equipment amount to euro 1,151 million (2002: euro
1,229 million).
Sundry other financial commitments amount
to euro 255 million (2002: euro 92 million). This in-
cludes the amount of euro 79 million committed for
the intended refurbishment of the headquarters of
BMW AG.

These future obligations are matched, or ex-
ceeded, by finance lease receivables which are in-
cluded in receivables from sales financing.
