REPORT OF INDEPENDENT AUDITORS
The Board of Directors and Stockholders
AMR Corporation
We have audited the consolidated financial statements of AMR Corporation as of December 31, 2002 and
2001, and for each of the three years in the period ended December 31, 2002, and have issued our report thereon
dated March 31, 2003. Our audits also included Schedule II - Valuation and Qualifying Accounts and Reserves.
This schedule is the responsibility of the Company's management. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on
this schedule based on our audits.
In our opinion, the financial statement schedule referred to above, when considered in relation to the basic
financial statements taken as a whole, presents fairly in all material respects the information set forth therein.
The financial statement schedule does not include any adjustments to reflect the possible future effects on
the recoverability and classification of assets or the amounts and classification of liabilities that may result from the
outcome of the uncertainty regarding the Company's ability to continue as a going concern.
