The following is a summary of the fair value of available-for-sale securities at July 3, 2009:
Restricted Cash and Investments
As of July 2, 2010, the Company's restricted cash and investments of $114 million consisted of $76 million cash held in trust for payment of
its deferred compensation plan liabilities and $38 million in cash and investment collateral held at banks for various performance obligations. As
of July 3, 2009, the Company's restricted cash and investments of $508 million consisted primarily of $380 million of proceeds from the
issuance of the Company's 10% Senior Secured Second-Priority Notes due May 2014 (the "10% Notes") held in escrow for repayment or
repurchase of debt, $85 million of cash held in trust for payment of its deferred compensation plan liabilities, and $43 million in cash collateral
held at banks for various performance obligations.
