Dividend Policy
On November 8, 2012, we announced the initiation of a quarterly cash dividend program. The initial quarterly dividend
was $0.075 per share, or $0.30 per share on an annual basis, which was subsequently increased on November 7, 2013 by
13% to a quarterly dividend of $0.085 per share, or $0.34 per share on an annual basis. In fiscal years 2015 and 2014, we
paid $186.5 million and $181.3 million, respectively, in cash dividends to our common shareholders.
Our cash dividend program and the payment of future cash dividends under that program are subject to continued
capital availability and our Board of Directors' continuing determination that the dividend program and the declaration of
dividends thereunder are in the best interests of our shareholders and are in compliance with all laws and agreements of
NVIDIA applicable to the declaration and payment of cash dividends. In fiscal year 2015, based upon our earnings and
profits, 50% of our dividend payments were considered qualified dividends and 50% of our dividend payments were
considered to be a return of capital for U.S. federal income tax purposes. It is possible that a portion of our dividend payments
in fiscal year 2016 may be considered a return of capital for U.S. federal income tax purposes.
