12 DOLLAR TREE STORES, IN C. • 20 0 4 AN N UAL REPORT
COAST TO COAST
Dollar Tree
Ten years ago, Dollar Tree operated one manual dis-
tribution center. Over the ensuing decade, significant
resources have been devoted to build out a national
distribution network capable of supporting stores in
all 48 of the contiguous states. We now operate nine
distribution centers, and most are fully automated.
The addition of new distribution centers reduces
the mileage and cost to service our stores. Dollar
Trees logistics are focused on delivering merchandise
efficiently at the lowest cost possible. We have to;
everything we sell is only $1.00!
