We are simultaneously building our bench, and have made
several critical new management hires over the past 
months to round out our team to help support our initiatives,
deliver our desired objectives, and more consistently
execute our objectives. Jim Chambers, President & Chief
Operating Officer; Nick Hotchkin, Chief Financial Officer;
Bruce Rosengarten, President, Asia Pacific; and Colin Watts,
Senior Vice President, Health Solutions & Global Innovation,
have all joined me as part of the senior leadership team, and
have significantly increased the breadth of our skillsets and
experience necessary to take us to the next level.
Fifty years ago, Weight Watchers International, Inc. was
founded by Jean Nidetch, a successful woman entrepreneur.
From the humble beginnings of the first Weight Watchers
meeting in a living room in Queens, NY, Weight Watchers
has become a global enterprise with a crucial mission and
a substantial legacy. Our Program has stood the test of
time, and during this time we have helped tens of millions
of people lose weight and change their lives for the better—
something we all take great pride in doing every day. Over the
past  years our Program has evolved, we have successfully
added mobile/digital, we have consolidated the vast majority
of the North America network via franchise acquisitions; and
in the process have created billions of dollars of value. Most
importantly, we now have among the world’s largest network
of treatment for the global condition of obesity, one of the
most pressing health issues facing our planet today. It is our
duty and obligation to take any and all necessary efforts to
build on this legacy and be the leading frontline solution to
this devastating health epidemic.
I want to thank all of our members, subscribers, and
Corporate accounts for their support and their business.
Most importantly, I am indebted to our service providers,
field staff, employees, directors, and Shareholders for their
support throughout .
David P. Kirchhoff
Chief Executive Officer
