audit of annual financial statements of BMW AG, the
audit of the Group financial statements and the
audit of the annual financial statements of the Ger-
man subsidiaries.
The item Tax advisory services relates prin-
cipally to fees for services provided to employees
seconded abroad.

For information regarding the number of employees
at the year-end, reference is made to pages 26 and
27 in the Group management report.
The fee expense recognised in the financial year
2007 for the auditors of the Group financial state-
ments, KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft,
Aktiengesellschaft, Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft,
pursuant to § 314 (1) no. 9 HGB amounted to euro
5 million (2006: euro 4 million) and consists of the
