INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY
TEAM WORK
As a manager, it is important to recognize that you cannot run the store
by yourself...it is a team effort. Knowing the strengths of each member
on my team and maximizing those assets makes us strong. It is my job to
ensure that every team member feels that their contribution/participation is
valued every day. Building trust and participation ultimately results in total
commitment from each player.

We expect to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by managing
our operating costs tightly, improving the timeliness of our merchandise flow and enhancing
our customer service capabilities. Several key technological initiatives, which we have
begun to implement, will allow us to drive productivity improvements across our operations.
These initiatives include new point-of-sale solutions, labor management applications, and
merchandise planning and allocation systems.
We will continue to direct our resources to those areas that drive sales and provide the greatest
productivity gains for our business. Our results last year reflect the early benefits of this work
-- our customer conversion rates have improved, our inventory turnover has increased and our
operating costs have been reallocated to be more productive. We will work to build on this
momentum in 2011 and beyond.
