2. Introduction of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001 Certification)
In October 1996, Hoya announced its intention to introduce environmental management systems in line with ISO14001 certification standards,
and by the end of fiscal 2001 almost all of its mass production plants in Japan and overseas had received certification. Since that time, systematic
introduction of ISO14001 standards has continued, and by the end of March 2005, a total of 35 sites in the Hoya Group had obtained
certification.
Notes:
*1. A site certified during the fiscal year under review.
*2. Includes the R&D Center Building, which is located on the grounds of the Akishima Plant.
*3. This company was recertified in connection with its transformation from the Iruma Plant of the former HOYA OPTICS CORP.
