The Company engaged in forward exchange contracts and forward option contracts, and
incurred the related losses recognized as “non-operating expenses and losses” amounted
to $79,604 thousand for 2008. As of December 31, 2008, “Financial assets at fair
value through profit or loss-current” and “gain on valuation of financial assets” were
both recorded at $10,894 thousand.
The Company had no such item during 2007.
