33. Employees
During the year ended 31 March 2002, the Group had an average of 67,178 full time employees (2001: 53,325, 2000: 29,465) of which 79% were based in
the Group’s mobile businesses (2001: 83% and 2000: 100%). An analysis of employee by category of activity is shown below.
Of total average employees,16% were based in the United Kingdom (2001: 20%, 2000: 33%).
