Our Markets
Long-Established Track Record Our Company has a long-established
track record of operating profitably in both United States and international markets, with 3,500 retail
stores in 21 countries in North America, Europe and the Asia/Pacific region, in a range of formats.
We enjoy considerable success operating stores in both urban and suburban markets, and in mall,
strip center and street locations, depending on the shopping patterns within each country.
Industry-Leading Internet Sites and Catalogs Our reach
to athletically inspired consumers is extended to markets through our industry-leading Internet sites
and catalogs. We are on a path to expand our Internet business to international markets, by building
on the existing model that we developed in the United Kingdom. Additionally, we plan to pursue
new opportunities to improve shopping convenience for our customers by further coordinating
our merchandise assortments between our stores and websites, and more seamlessly linking our
customer service capabilities through each channel.
International Success Our proven success in international markets is somewhat
unique for a U.S.-based specialty retailer and a competitive advantage. As we pursue a global
expansion strategy in the years ahead, we will draw on our successful experiences to design tactical
plans to be executed on a local level.
