Of the tax provisions,   million (previous year:   mil-
lion) relates to ,  million (previous year:   million) to cus-
toms and duties, and   million (previous year:   million) to
other tax provisions.
Risks from business activities comprise obligations such as
expected loss and warranty obligations. Miscellaneous other provi-
sions include a large number of individual items.
e subsidies for the Postal Civil Service Health Insurance
Fund in the amount of   million (previous year:   million) pre-
viously reported as sta -related provisions were disclosed together
with the provision for the Postal Civil Service Health Insurance Fund
in the year under review.  e prior-period amounts were adjusted.
e provision for other employee bene ts primarily covers
workforce reduction expenses (severance payments, transitional
bene ts, partial retirement etc.).
e restructuring provisions comprise all expenses resulting
from the restructuring measures within the  express business as
well as in other areas of the Group.  ese measures relate primarily
to termination bene t obligations to employees (partial retirement
programmes, transitional bene ts) and expenses from the closure
of terminals, for example.
Technical reserves (insurance) mainly consist of outstand-
ing loss reserves and  reserves; further details can be found
in Note .
e provision for postage stamps covers outstanding obli-
gations to customers for letter and parcel deliveries from postage
stamps sold but still unused by customers, and is based on studies
by market research companies. It is measured at the nominal value
of the stamps issued.
