Developing a culture of tech literacy

school teachers et to rips with the new schools coputin curriculu.
 volunteers are deliverin teacher trainin worshops at scale. ince
arch 01 the proect has provided coputer science resources and
trainin to over 00 priar school teachers. his enables teachers
with little previous coputer science nowlede to interate aloriths
abstraction and data structures into their lessons with children fro
the ae of five. ro the 01 acadeic ear we will develop a ore
coprehensive schools prorae across the UK to help support our
abition to help  children b 00.
Creating a connected society
e are buildin on our eistin abition to deliver access to fibre-based
products and services to nine out of ten people in the UK. ur new
00 abition is elpin 10 people overcoe social disadvantae
throuh the benefits our products and services can brin. his is a clear
opportunit to show how our products and services can deliver social
benefit and ae a real dierence to people all over the world. e can
show how counications technolo and the services we deliver
can positivel address e social issues such as povert social obilit
anaein population and disabilit.
his ear we published the ocial eturn on nvestent analsis of our
UK diital inclusion. his is helpin private public and voluntar sector
oranisations to easure the ipact of bein online. e have focused on
aterial outcoes to individuals  and the UK econo. or the first
tie this has enabled us to easure the social ipact of our diital sills
proraes and feed this insiht bac into the product developent
ccle. Usin this ethodolo we have calculated that the benefit of
ettin online is worth 10 per person per ear risin to 
foran advanced user.
