321,000attheendofscal2002to534,000attheendofscal2003andtherearenowinexcessof10,000
corporationsusingBlackBerryEnterpriseServer™software.Wearealsopleasedtoreportthatwehave
accomplishedthegoalswesetoutinlastyear’sAnnualReport.Thisyear,theCompanybegantoreapthe
rewardsofthetechnologyandinfrastructureinvestmentswehavemadeoverthepastseveralyearsand
weexpecttoseethissuccesscontinueintoscal2004.

RIM’srevenuesinscal2003grewto$307millionfrom$294millioninthepreviousyear.Whilethe
economicenvironmentcontinuedtobechallengingduringscal2003anddelaysin2.5Gnetworkrollouts
hamperedgrowthintheearlypartoftheyear,weexperiencedsignicantrevenuegrowthinthefourth
quarterofthescalyearasmanyofthenewproductsunderdevelopmentwerelaunchedintothemarket.
Thetrendofstrongsubscriberandrevenuegrowthexhibitedinthelatterpartofscal2003isexpectedto
continueintoscal2004asBlackBerrybecomesincreasinglyentrenchedasthewirelesssolutionofchoice
forenterprisecustomersandourcarrierpartners.
