finance for over 40 years. Prior to his current engagement with
Air Lease Corporation, Mr. Udvar-Hazy founded, and served
as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of, International
Lease Finance Corporation, which leases and finances
commercial jet aircraft.
Mr. Udvar-Hazy is recognized as one of the leading experts in
the aviation industry, and contributes to the Board the wisdom
and insight he has accumulated through a lengthy,
distinguished career in aviation, aircraft leasing and finance.
The Company has benefitted greatly from Mr. Udvar-Hazy’s
eminent position in the aviation industry, including
introductions to his vast industry contacts and networking
opportunities. In addition to his extensive industry experience,
Mr. Udvar-Hazy is extremely knowledgeable of the Company’s
operations and opportunities, having served as a director for
more than 25 years. Mr. Udvar-Hazy’s even temperament and
ability to encourage discussion, together with his experience as
a chief executive officer and director of other successful
organizations, make him an effective Lead Director.
