By enrolling in CVS Ready Fill®, Anna
is automatically contacted one month
later with a reminder to pick up her
fi rst refi ll.
Anna’s CVS/pharmacy has a Minute-
Clinic on site where the A1c test can be
performed just steps away in a matter of
minutes. MinuteClinic can then send the
results to her health care provider.
At her next refi ll, Anna learns that she
is eligible through her plan sponsor for
Maintenance Choice. She can receive a
90-day supply at a lower co-pay – and
get it by mail or right in the store.
Non-adherence can happen for many
reasons. If it does, Anna will receive
targeted counseling from the local
CVS/pharmacy team she knows
and trusts.
At pickup, the CVS/pharmacy team
lets Anna know if a lower-cost therapy
option exists. After discussing it, she
asks the pharmacist to contact her
doctor to make the switch.
Since diabetics need to monitor their
cholesterol, the MinuteClinic practi-
tioner runs this test as well. Anna is
encouraged to consult her health care
provider to develop a treatment plan.
