ere delihted that the acuisition has now been approved b our
shareholders. hile we await reulator clearance we have pushed
ahead with our own obilit plans launchin our  obile consuer
service in addition to our successful business obile propositions.
e also announced plans to transfor the UKs fibre broadband
landscape fro superfast to ultrafast. Usin .fast technolo we will
be able to oer speeds of up to 00bps to ost of the UK within
a decade. t is thans to our research labs that we have developed
innovative new was to use this technolo and we will start custoer
trials this suer. e will also be oerin a 1bps service to those
who want even faster speeds. his will be another lare and ulti-ear
investent b penreach that will reuire the riht investent and
reulator environent. t will be the riht thin for both  and the
UK providin even faster speeds in an alread copetitive aret.

were pleased to have secured  reier eaue football rihts for a

with olb which enables outstandin sound clarit.
hile we epect to face continuin declines in the revenue we earn
fro the UK public sector due to lower levels of ependiture we won
new public sector contracts in the ear and our investents overseas
continued to deliver with ood rowth in sia and the iddle ast as
wesupport leadin lobal copanies.
e have continued to iprove the service we provide to our custoers.
e recruited 00 new enineers and ore than 00 new eploees
into our contact centres around the UK. ach of our lines of business
ade iproveents. e increased the speed of service deliver
repaired faults faster and fied ore custoer issues first tie.
