DESCRIPTION OF THE GUARANTEE
All Instruments issued by National Grid Gas Finance (No 1) will be
g
uaranteed by the Guarantor upon the terms of the
guarantee set out in the Trust Deed (the “Guarantee”).
Under Clause 4A.1 of the Trust Deed, the Guarantor unconditionally and irrevocably
g
uarantees that if National Grid Gas
Finance (No 1) does not pay any sum payable by it under the Trust Deed, the Instruments, the Receipts or the Coupons by the
time and on the date specified for such payment, the Guarantor shall pay that sum to or to the order of the Trustee.
