Selected Programs, Products and Services
A-10 Thunderbolt Wing Replacement
Program and Life-Cycle Program Support
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a twin-engine aircraft
that provides close-air support of ground forces.
In 2007, Boeing was awarded a contract to
design and manufacture replacement wings for
up to 242 A-10 aircraft, and by the end of 2014,
had delivered more than 90 enhanced wing
sets. In 2009, Boeing was awarded a four-year
contract to sustain the A-10 and integrate
upgrades into the aircrafts avionics, mechanical
and structural systems. In 2010, Boeing was
awarded a contract to develop fuselage repairs
and train U.S. Air Force maintainers to make
the repairs.

737 Airborne Early Warning and Control
(AEW&C)
The 737 AEW&C delivers flexible mission
coverage that includes maritime surveillance,
command and control, and air traffic control func-
tionality. The Royal Australian Air Force is oper-
ating six AEW&C aircraft designated Wedgetail
E-7A. Boeing is working on a first block mission
system upgrade for the fleet while providing full
Performance-Based Logistics and sustainment.
The Republic of Korea operates four Peace Eye
AEW&C aircraft for which Boeing provides spare
parts, support equipment and repairs. Turkey’s
first Peace Eagle AEW&C aircraft was delivered in
January 2014, the second and third aircraft were
delivered in April and September, and the fourth
is scheduled to be delivered in 2015.
2014 deliveries: 3*
Advanced Space Access Boeing is designing advanced concepts to
reduce the cost of on-demand space access.
Currently, a Phantom Works team is working with
the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
(DARPA) to develop an innovative small satellite
launch vehicle called Airborne Launch Assist
Space Access. Boeing is also working on the
XS-1 Experimental Space Plane for DARPA. This
space plane is intended to be used as a reusable
first stage and to demonstrate technology that will
bring aircraft-like operability to space launch. The
XS-1 vehicle will be sized to support delivery of
3,000 to 5,000 pounds (1,360 to 2,270 kilograms)
of payload to low Earth orbit.
Aerial Layer Networks
Networking virtually all airborne assets and pro-
viding data to warfighters in the air, on the ground
and at sea is the goal of Boeing’s Aerial Layer
Networks. A Phantom Works team completed
the final design review for the U.S. Air Force Talon
HATE program in 2014. The system combines
information from fighter networks, national
sources, and joint command and control assets.
Phantom Works is also working on Phantom
Fusion, which bridges the gap from legacy pro-
prietary avionics hardware and software systems
to a complete open adaptive architecture.
AH-6 Light Attack/Reconnaissance
Helicopter
The AH-6, a light attack/reconnaissance helicop-
ter, is based on a combat-proven platform with
a heritage of successful service. The helicopter
features a state-of-the-art cockpit architecture,
integrated and qualified sensors and weapons
systems, reliability, low maintenance costs and
a flexible mission configuration to meet customer
needs. Offered as a solution for selected global
defense forces, the AH-6 is designed to quickly
meet current requirements of international military
forces, while maintaining flexibility for future growth.
AH-64 Apache The AH-64 Apache is the world’s most capable,
survivable, deployable and maintainable multi-
mission attack helicopter. Boeing continues
deliveries of AH-64E Apache helicopters to the
U.S. Army and allied defense forces. International
Apache customers include Egypt, Greece, Israel,
Japan, the Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Saudi
Arabia, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United
Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Boeing
also provides Performance-Based Logistics
sustainment services for the U.S. Army’s Apache
fleet, as well as a full suite of Apache training
devices for domestic and international customers.
2014 deliveries: 45 new; 37 remanufactured*
Bombers

The B-1B Lancer is a long-range bomber in
service with the U.S. Air Force since 1984. The
multimission B-1B can deliver an extraordinary
quantity and diversity of weapons anywhere in
the world, within hours. The B-52H Stratofortress
is in its fifth decade of operational service. Its
primary mission is to provide the United States
with immediate nuclear and conventional global
capability. With long range, endurance and large,
versatile payloads, the B-1B and B-52H continue
to provide essential capability sets across the
spectrum of conflict, from strategic deterrence to
