restricted stock granted under the Company’s equity compensation plans. Employees tendered 220 shares in October, 1,879
shares in November, and 959 shares in December.
(2) CIGNA has had a repurchase program for many years, and has had varying levels of repurchase authority and activity under
this program. The program has no expiration date. CIGNA suspends activity under this program from time to time, generally
without public announcement. Remaining authorization under the program was $449 million as of December 31, 2009 and
February 25, 2010.
