its position as the market leader in online weight manage-
ment subscription products, with a market share that is
three times that of its next largest Internet competitor.
Through WeightWatchers.com, we benefi t not only from
the revenues generated by our online subscription prod-
ucts, but also from powerful online brand exposure. With
a monthly average of 5 million unique visitors and 188
million page views in the U.S. alone, the WeightWatch-
ers.com Web site helps to effi ciently drive our meetings
business by promoting our brand, advertising Weight
Watchers meetings, and keeping our members informed
of the full range of products and services we offer.
Beyond our meetings and online businesses, in 2006,
we continued to execute on several key initiatives such
as expanding our licensing and publishing business and
innovating our product lines. These initiatives are leading
to strong growth as we continue to meaningfully diversify
our revenue streams and cash fl ows. We experienced
robust growth from our global licensing and publishing
business in 2006, with sales surging 23 percent to $68
million. Given the exceptional credibility of our brand and
the power of the referrals we receive from our members
and subscribers, we are fi nding success across mul-
tiple consumer channels. Looking ahead, there is no
shortage of opportunities for us to continue to leverage
the Weight Watchers brand in a smart and sensible way
and to continue to get traction in this business.
We are also reaching our target audiences through
several new marketing initiatives – all of which show
the proven ability of Weight Watchers. After success-
fully losing her pregnancy weight with Weight Watch-
ers, Jenny McCarthy has become a spokesperson for
our company. It is important to note that Jenny was
rst a Weight Watchers member, and only then became
a spokesperson. Her endorsement of Weight Watch-
ers is not only proof that our approach to weight loss
works, but also refl ects our appeal to new mothers.
