offered for sale for a four week period at the beginning
of the winter and spring diet seasons, and we were
pleased to see the high proportion of our members
who were willing to make this commitment.
With the Monthly Pass commitment plan – which we in-
troduced beginning in the fall diet season of 2006 across
our North American meetings’ business – our members
can pay $39.95 per month and enjoy a month of meet-
ings at an approximate 20 percent discount to the typical
“pay-as-you-go” weekly fee. Monthly Pass is charged
automatically to the member’s credit card on a monthly
basis until the member elects to cancel. Unlike Sea-
son Pass which is available for purchase only during a
four week period at the beginning of each diet season,
Monthly Pass is available for purchase throughout the
year. With the Monthly Pass commitment plan, mem-
bers receive unlimited access to meetings each month
plus free access to Weight Watchers eTools, our Internet
weight management companion for members. The re-
sponse among our members to the Monthly Pass com-
mitment plan has exceeded all of our initial expectations.
During the past year, we expanded and improved upon
our in-meeting product offerings, including cookbooks and
snacks. These products provide added assistance in help-
ing our members and subscribers to achieve and maintain
their weight loss goals. We are also utilizing the Weight-
Watchers.com Web site to provide our online subscribers
with access to a broad range of our exclusive products.
In 2006, product sales delivered $293 million in revenues.
WeightWatchers.com is rapidly becoming a major contrib-
utor to our fi nancial results primarily through its online sub-
scription products. In 2006, our online revenues increased
18 percent to $130 million, and our Weight Watchers
Online subscriber base expanded by 15 percent to
460,000. The WeightWatchers.com business now has
profi t margins comparable to those of our traditional meet-
ings business. WeightWatchers.com further strengthened
